Y.O.U. (Youth Opportunities Unlimited)

It's all about Y.O.U.   . . .         

Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) provides the opportunity for all youth to receive job search assistance and establish career goals.  Qualified youth can receive cash incentives. Y.O.U. also provides the following services to out-of-school 16 to 21 year-olds:

  • Job-readiness training
  • Job placement and post-secondary education entrance assistance
  • Skills upgrades (basic workplace skills)
  • Ongoing career counseling and support

 
Y.O.U., funded by KentuckianaWorks, Louisville Metro Government, Making Connections Louisville, Louisville Metro Housing Authority, TARC and Gheens Foundation and managed by Jefferson County Public Schools Adult and Continuing Education, is built on a strong foundation of career guidance, instructional support, and connection to community resources.

The Y.O.U. Career Center can help you:

  • Search for jobs

  • Research occupational information, such as job trends

  • Complete online career-interest assessments

  • Build a résumé

  • Compose cover letters

  • And much, much more!

Y.O.U. offers one-on-one career and educational counseling.  You will work with a caring, trained professional to develop a plan that best meets your needs and desires.
