GED to Healthcare

“Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare
GED to Healthcare Program”

Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare is sponsoring a program to help our GED students find entry-level jobs (full- or part-time).

Besides being good entry-level jobs, if you are interested in a career in healthcare, this will put you inside a major hospital network and increase your prospects for getting a good job in your field.  PLUS, after 90 days, you will be eligible to participate in the “Scholars Program” and receive college tuition aid.

Requirements and program information:

  • TABE Scores of 6 or higher in reading and math

  • 18 years old

  • Persons with felonies or misdemeanors (theft or violence) need not apply

  • Class times: Monday-Thursday for four weeks (32 hours), 12:45 to 2:45 pm, Ahrens Learning Center, room 129

  • Perfect attendance and participation in class are required to complete the program

The completion of class is not a guarantee of a job—it’s a guarantee of an interview … and an opportunity!

For more information contact your GED instructor
or call John Greenwell at 574-1387.
